I'm not going to pretend there is real news this a.m., but I mean ... there are some solid things to read.

Since Adam Pelech's wrist is still on the mend, Slater Koekkoek gets his spot on Canada's WJC development camp roster. Hopefully doesn't hurt Pelech's chances in the winter though. Pelech says this surgery should do the trick for a wrist that was originally hurt in 2011-12.

WTNH News 8 talks to Ryan Pulock about the draft and rookie camp (though honestly he says the typical prospect things. Hey, it's July.) Of more interest, from the same writer (Daniel Petriw) is his interview with Sound Tigers broadcaster Phil Giubileo on the Isles prospects.

The Winnipeg Free Press talks to Kevin Connolly about "Big Shot," the movie about John Spano's fraudulent "purchase" of the Isles. Connolly: "More than anything, I just wanted to understand why he would do this, what was his sort of end game. So I would really just stare at him and try to get inside of his head, and somehow we landed on a fair ground. We had our fair share of (problems) and we said really horrible things to each other."

Ex-Isle and first-round-pick-bait (thanks, Ottawa!) Chris Campoli couldn't find NHL work after the lockout, and couldn't find it now: He has signed in Switzerland again, with Lugano.
