Islanders training camp is just around the corner as the season quickly approaches. Brock Nelson is still unsigned but one would have to assume that would get taken care of before training camp begins due to Nelson’s lack of leverage.

The Islanders will have to start thinking about which of their centers will be best playing on the wing due to their surplus at the position. I would believe John Tavares and Frans Nielsen would stay at center leaving the third line center position open. The candidates could include Ryan Strome, Brock Nelson and Mikhail Grabovski.

After Strome’s impressive season last year, he might be a candidate to get an opportunity to play on Tavares’ right side leaving Nelson (if he signs) and Grabovski.

Who would you rather see fill that position? Let us know in the comments section below or on our new Forum page.
