Michael Dal Colle, the No. 5 overall pick from the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, has officially signed his entry level contract with the New York Islanders, as initially reported by TSN’s Bob McKenzie:

The details of the contract were not made public (because hockey), but as we’ve seen time and time again, those pesky details found their way onto the Internet, which: thanks, Al Gore! Anyways, CapGeek already has the contract figures up on the Islanders’ page, which are as follows: three years, a base salary of $925,000 ($70,000 AHL), a $277,500 signing bonus, and the potential for Dal Colle to earn up to $3.125 million per year after all bonuses.

The fact that Dal Colle signed on the dotted line isn’t exactly earth-shattering news, nor are the terms of the deal itself. This entire story has as its real-world equivalent a middle office worker filing his quarterly TPS reports. Which he does, you know, every quarter…

Still, the thought of Dal Colle doing the shmoney dance up in Canada is pretty awesome.
