After a bumpy start, the Islanders preseason has hit a sweet spot. Last night, the team won its third game in as many days, albeit two of them came against the Devils, the Islanders appear to be gaining some momentum. The only bad news is, some of these players won’t be on the opening night roster. The last preseason game is this Sunday, October 9th against the Washington Capitals. The Caps got the better of the Islanders on October 1st, winning 2-1. Between now and the Islanders season opener in Manhattan, the team’s brass has some decisions to make, which should make for some interesting news in the coming days.
